A Therapeutic Massage to alleviate physiological and emotional symptoms of depression and promote deep relaxation to soothe your mind. This particular style of massage gently revitalises, stimulates and invigorates your body whilst evoking a sense of well-being and increased energy levels.
By using a variety of different techniques I will stimulate your body with a soothing massage to generally revitalise you overall and gently reconnect you with your body. I totally understand that it can feel difficult to motivate ourselves during times of depression, let alone describe how we are feeling.

Physiological Aspects of Depression and Chronic Stress
At times of chronic stress or depression, the adrenal glands can become fatigued, which means that they become overloaded and are unable to perform well. As this continues, it becomes more and more difficult for your body to produce the required levels of hormones and neurotransmitters. That’s when symptoms of the ‘fatigue’ cause issues which need redressing, this is the time to offer your body some extra support.

By lowering levels of cortisol and increasing the neurotransmitters, serotonin and dopamine your body’s ability to fight off pain, anxiety and feelings of sadness is increased. Massage positively redresses the hormones created by our endocrine system as Serotonin levels naturally increase as the cortisol levels decrease during the massage.
